what size are beers in america?

Pfft, this is what our children drink on a night at the park:

2 litres, i.e 67.63 USoz

lol, a friend of mine is from the UK and he always talks about white lightning.

'Hobo Fuel' he calls it.

When I was younger I used to just drink cheap vodka :hmm:

I ordered a beer once at a restaurant in michigan.

They brought me, 2, so I politely told the server I had in fact only ordered a single beer, but I would keep the 2 of them. she informed me it was was 2 for 1 beer day.

I thought I had died and gone to heaven.

They don't do that here anymore. There was a big deal about it when some people did in fact die and go to heaven. Apparently the cause of their over indulgence was deemed to be 2 for one beers.

These days they still do it, but they call them 1/2 price for legal reasons.

It's sad... Most bars will serve a 12 oz glass and call it a "pint". There's a bar up in Pasadena called "Brits" that serves in proper pint glasses and they even have a hand-pump for the Fullers ESB... God love 'em!

Really? Where are they? I travel to Pasadena monthly and usually end up a Lucky Baldwins.

There used to be a bar that had a 1$ beer night here in ottawa. When I was in university (10 years ago) we used to take 10$ and.... overindulge.

it got shut down pretty quickly after the street fighting and alohol poisoning rose sharply in a 10 km radius around the bar on wed nights.

They had that deal going on at Walkabout (Australian themed pub chain over here). Needless to say I got far too drunk.

When I got home I tried to go to bed but couldn't find the bedroom and at some point tried to sleep in the kitchen.

I don't remember any of it.

Worst gig I ever played was a bar about a mile from a college campus. $3.00 pitchers of PBR. The restrooms were an inch deep in puke, people puked in the back of the bar, and every single emergency service the county offered was there on a single night, Police (more than once), Fire, and Ambulance!

Cheap beer and college kids that don't know their limits is a bad idea all around.

They got shut down a few years back too.

Wrong. There are gluten free beers. Try Red Bridge...my brother has the same disease and he says it's pretty decent.

I know - I have a case cooling in the fridge:D. It's not bad, has a weird after taste. definitely do-able, but I don't think I could spend a night drinking them.

at least they are good for popping one open while I got the grill on or something . . . all is not lost!

Are you sure it wasn't homoerotic asphyxiation like what's happening in your avatar that killed them? After all, they were drunk.
