Triangle dunlop 1.14mm tortex and ULTEX

Because they don't break. my favorite picks soundwise are the Gibson Heavy black triangle ones, but they break....

I can 't fine the triangle Big Stubbys anymore! anywhere!
It sucks. Those were my favorite picks of all time. Did they completely stop making them?
I used to used Jim Dunlop Nylon 1.0mm picks, but when I was playing for long periods the thumb muscles in my palm would cramp up really bad. I switched to the .75mm and some brand of pick that was shaped like an alien head and that worked well for me.
Thicker picks have a different sort of attack to them, and I think they sound like they have less snap. If I want more of a defined sound with more rasp I use a Fender Delrin .60mm.

that one. Best sounding pick I have found on a bass, and I used to HATE pick playing with a passion.
These. I have a 1.14 with me and it's my favorite pick.
I have a green no-name which is thinner but nice too...and some uber thin one also.
They can still be had here in Fredericksburg, VA, at least as far as I know. Have you looked online?

I've had a hard time finding a pick I like. Oddly, I played guitar for well over a decade before I touched a bass and I still find it hard to play bass w/ a pick. On guitar I use small dunlop jazz III's. I tried them and these huge dunlops I got but didnt like them.
by chance I did a gig one night and developed a nasty blister so out of desperation I asked the guitar player for a pick and he handed me a tortex .88 and it worked great so I've used them ever since (when I play w/ a pick - which is rare)
