You'll find those knobs on the squier vintage modified jazz basses. Mine's an '05 and has them. But no squier i know of has the combo of that body and neck. Seems like a frankebass, but if it plays well and is priced right (265 seems more than fair), why not?

I wouldn’t rush to (negative) judgement based on that picture alone. Kinda like a funhouse image, not accurate at all in my view.

I’m also fairly certain most pickup companies will sell a matched MIM equal sized jazz set. A lot were made so the market is there, plus I’ve been told no biggie to enlarge the rout if you desire.

I'm looking to buy a Squire CV jazz, and I stumbled upon this strange thing, someone is selling. Is this just a standard Squire someone slapped a Classic Vibe 70'ies neck on, because I cant find anything like it on the internet? Help appreciated. Thanks. If it were me, for that price, I'd grab it. "Plays well" is pretty subjective and you can remedy any aspects of that not to your liking for not too much extra $$ if you're DIY-capable.

I have both Vintage Modified and Classic Vibe Precisions. Fine instruments both. I must think their Jazz is no less. You would have no regrets I'm sure.

Looks like a Squier VM77, but I'm not 100% sure on the body color:

There was also black, but I don't think I ever saw a red/black burst one. Perhaps a body from a different Squier series jbass using the neck/hw of a VM77?

I would get better pics to see what's up with that neck.

Vm77 come with strats knob. I been own the black one , while there are another Amber too.

Vm70 has candy red, olym white and black with dome knobs and black block inlays.

Has Squier make Sunburst VM J body previously ?

On my side, she look like a part J bass body with vm77 pearl inlay neck.
