It depends - how wide of a strap do you want? Are you looking for something more akin to a guitar strap or one of those 3" wide mamma jammas? I'd personally go with the latter, it's less prone to damage and is a lot more comfortable.
I just posted this on another thread...but now its for a different reason! I only use the Levys Kokopelli leather straps. I just ordered another one for my other Wick. Different color though. They cost around 50 bucks, and they are great. I also have a thing for kokopelli!

Does anyone have a suede strap? I'm wondering if they are better or worse than the regular leather?
I have a suede Levy's that I use on my Honey Blonde Classic '50s P. It looks good as far as being a nice match with the bass. It's fairly comfortable; but nowhere near as comfortable as my Comfort Strapps (which I use on all my other basses).

Well that's good to know. I have a Comfort Strapp and was wondering if the leather would be better. Apparently not.
