Haha that's awesome! We certainly try to make sure that the controls interact in such a way that's hard to get "bad" settings... sure it's a matter of taste at the end.

It's still amazing to hear that all that effort translates and is somehow appreciated (even if unconsciously) by you musicians.

Hahaha thanks man! Glad to hear you're happy with the B3K!

It depends a lot on what you're playing though... if metal and hard rock is your thing, you might be well covered with just the B3K!

The Vintage is intended to cover the realms the B3K won't even stare at.
Or at least that was the approach taken when designing it :).

Thanks Doug, however...why do you do it with all of us?!:))) I''ve been absolutely G.A.S-free all this time but now....sigh....Yes, I've already reserved one VMT in the next shipment from USA arriving in Moscow in three weeks time. The dealer here in Russia is Pedal Geek shop, Arseniy, this guy is a friend of mine and...that's actually a funny thing but it was me who proposed him to deal with Darkglass after I purchased mine directly from you about a year ago and started to spread roumours in Moscow about new killer B3K pedal from Finnish boutique pedal-makers. Bassists in Moscow raised growing demand issue for B3Ks after I posted my samples with it on local bassist website after which I approached Arseniy and told him about this amazing thing. I use my B3K with Spector NS-2 bass and it sounds like working bulldozer :)

Nice! Yeah, we are very glad to start selling more in Russia, we have 3 dealers and maybe a fourth coming up.

Sweet! I use a MIM Jazz Deluxe a lot (the output level is perfect in my opinion... so it's always a great and useful reference).

Had a band practice yesterday, finally got around to trying out my VMT through my GK 700RB II for the second time (different settings this time). Wow, it's amazing how VMT pairs well with GK. You get that snappy growly warm but clear aggressive tone from pushed GK and you add the gorgeous VMT breakup and mids. VMT evens out the tone string to string and it sits so well in the mix. Such a nice dynamic response where I get that raunchy breakup when I really dig into harder plucking.

No lack of highs since GK can get fairly bright, and it just complements it really well. Amazing rock tone. Had my mix about 1 o'clock, era knob about the same, volume noon and gain at around 11. This gave me a slight signal boost going into GK which is great. GK's controls were close to flat with slight cut on treble, hi mids and bass. Boost and woofer around 1 o'clock, volume 11.

Another fantastic surprise was when I played Wolfmother's Mother with TFR going into VMT. WOW. I usually have to tweak the controls on my fuzz/distortion pedals to get somewhere with unity gain, but now... I just stepped on it the way I set it up at home and BAM! Instant old school dirt n grind FOR DAYS! No problem being heard over Marshall 412 stack. And all this through a noname 15'' box.

Tonight we have a gig, and I can't wait to unleash all this madness through my GK NEO 412.

Wow! This is the way to start the day. I too really enjoy the way fuzzes interact with the Microtubes.

Specially if your fuzz has a blend control, by using the blend control of the Microtubes simultaneously you can get 4 layers of bass rage!

Kick some ass tonight mate!
