I can't wait to inherit your stuffAfter following this thread for exactly two months it has finally dawned on me what I'm going to do with my basses, gear, and PA when I die. My wife will be donating all of it to the Talkbass member who has annoyed me the least since my joining in 2006.

It's just when it's that early in the morning my mind is more on coffee than death. I'm not saying anybody else did anything wrong. They didn't.
Thread title brought up an interesting memory... In my gigging days I also got to work as the concert hall when big acts came thru. Mid 1980's Alvin lee came thru and I was a gaffer for his show. He had that burgundy ES335 that is famous from the Woodstock cover on stage. You know that has got to be a six figure instrument. With Alvin's untimely death I wonder where that ES335 landed?
I would love to give my equipment to a school or a church .But the true is I will end up selling it long before I kick to support one of my other hobbies.When that time comes ,I hope to have my 73 p and a practice amp that hopefully I will still be able to noddle around with god willing.
I plan on teaching my daughter and any other future children how to play all the instruments I play. When the time comes, they'll get my gear. If they fight over it, I'll come back and haunt them!
I'm seriously considering leaving it all to the brother I don't get along with. Since I'm the family's only lefty, the thought of him going crazy, trying to sell all my instruments ('cause he's too greedy to do anything else - which is why we don't get along) will be a comfort, as I slowly moulder away in my grave...
