What to do with an unused hole...

Recently acquired a Fender Marcus Miller JB that having the preamp and pups swapped out with Sadowsky equipment leaves an empty hole in the pick guard where the active/passive toggle switch once was. My first thought was to install some stacked pups and a coil splitter but it seems that there isn't much to gain from splitting stacked jazz pups though I haven't done extensive research on the matter. Maybe series/parallel? Would greatly appreciate some creative suggestions

Me again haha! That 80s Carvin I had was a stereo bass (another reason besides the all-maple neck-through construction and pearly inlays that it was fairly Ric-like), and I didn't personally find a Jazz to be particularly suited to a stereo rig. The original Carvin preamp had some interesting switches that made it more useable in stereo, but meh...also the Sadowsky pre would only be useable on one channel when running stereo. The bridge pickup is just too thin by itself IMO. Of course YMMV...
Holes in general are nothing, so i wonder how much care the TB community is giving to ... i think the very best you can do is writing a song about:

Using the hole for a tonal modifier vs something flippant gets my vote. If necessary, a producer's switch is perfect if you find yourself with producers or bandleaders that need bamboozling. A light would be fun if you are into blinking lights.
The easy go-to would be a series/parallel switch. Even if it's rarely used (as they are on my J types), it's there for that moment when it's needed. I'm super pragmatic like that, many of my basses have push/pull pot functions for series/parallel with the pickups or within a pickup. They are often used, but when they are, it's great.

Put a camera lens so you can record the performance from the stage side...
