TU-12H for me but as long as everyone tunes to the same tuner (Not type, the same actual tuner) it really does not matter

Just finished up my bass parts and I always just unplugged from the direct box to a Korg Pitchblack then plugged back in after tuning.
most studios should have the conn I would think,if not just use a hand held korg...Vintage 1980's Conn Strobo Tuner.............

I will be doing some long term studio recording and I will be plugging direct into the board.
I need to buy a tuner like yesterday, but am not sure about what to buy. I have never worked fully in a studio before, so I am kind of clueless about this.

I went to the abby roads studio web site. The equipment looked pretty modern. But I agree with your point on microphones. There are some older mics that aren't made today that are great. My fav is the AKG D12E. I don't know why they stopped making that mic.Abbey Road Studios still covets the equipment used in those recordings and so do the many famous artists that line up to record there so the answer is definitely yes and if you get an opportunity research the most sought after microphones and check their date of manufacture and their current asking prices.
This !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When you're recording, it's not good enough to just be in tune, you need to be incredibly in tune. Yes, pitch can be corrected, but if you want to be taken seriously in a studio, be incredibly in tune ALWAYS. Constantly / consistently check and re-check your tuning between takes.
Not kidding. It's the best analog tuner ever! Are you kidding me?
But the rest are junk? Give me a break..Not kidding. It's the best analog tuner ever!
