What was your first amp (old guys only) Pt 2

My first bass amp wasn't a bass amp. It was an early 60's Danelectro guitar amp. I remember my uncle took out the Jensen guitar speaker and put some sort of bass speaker in the cab and sealed it up. It worked okay, not too loud, I couldn't play it loud if I wanted to since it would start to distort badly, although at moderate levels it worked. About a year or so later the head blew and that was that. This was 1972....wish it still was.

I had a Rickenbacker 35 Watt Combo with a 15 in it. It had a lot of high end in it's output.

My first giging amp was a Peavy TNT 130 Watt Combo, later I added an external cab.

Yamaha b50-115
Then some blue Univox 50w stack with 2x12 (total POS)
then back to the b50 again
Then a custom Acoustic combo 220 watt 15" w/Carlson enclosure AND an ADA Bassline FX 2x10 with horn. Had that for over 12 years - it was the perfect sound. Should never have sold it.
Now I have had rentals for 7 years when needed, and am now looking to buy either a new 200 watt fender rumble or the Mark Bass player 200 watt 15"

Many, many amps and cabinets but I'll narrow it down

very first bass amp and cabinet was when I graduated high school. With my graduating money I got a Fender Bassman 100 and a 4x12 cabinet.
Then I used a Yamaha GQ2031 eq (as a preamp - its possible) and a QSC power amp with an Earth 1x18 W style cabinet.
Peavey TNT 1x15 as a practice amp.
Ampeg SVT black line (76-79) with an Ampeg V9 9x10 cabinet. I also had an Ampeg 2x15 W style cabinet.
Sunn Coliseum bass amp as a backup.
Peavey 1820 cabinet (heavy but sounds boobies).

Now I use (depending on the weather, conditions and stage size) 1 of the following:
Ampeg SVT (76-79)
Ampeg SVT 3Pro
Sunn 1200S 2 rack space amp
Frankensteined Hartke 410XL cabinet with 4 Eminence Kappa Pro (500 watt each) 10" speakers)
Hartke 1x15 combo cabinet (1155?) with Eminence 1000 watt speaker
Hartke 410XL 240 watt cabinet with original speakers
Peavey 1820

For festivals I use the Frankensteined Hartke cabinet and the Hartke 410XL cabinet and the SVT.

My first amp was a Peavey TNT 100. That and a T40 bass got me started.
Then I traded for a silverface Fender Bassman and a couple of (homemade) TL15 cabs.
Then I traded the TL15s for a folded horn cab (either Ampeg or Sunn, I forget).

Then I quit playing for a long time (and sold all my gear; ouch!).

When I started playing again I bought a SWR 350 chrome and SWR Goliath Jr II.
Then I traded for a Markbass F500 and Epifani UL-310.
Sold the UL-310 and bought (2) Fender Neo 410s.
Currently have a Fender Rumble 500 head on pre-order, which will replace the F500.

It was great amp I had a old Vantage bass with 2 sets of p pickups in it 3 way toggle switch and 2 tone and 2 volume knobs cant remember model but it sounded cool with the Garnet amp. I cant find one anywhere been looking for one hard to find

My first bass (Sears Silvertone $69) was played dutifully through an old record player,brand forgotten. I then moved up to a Heathkit amp strapped to speaker from said record player. Eventually I got some other kid in the neighborhood to trade me his Sears bass amp for a 1/2 ounce of home-grown. That brings us up to about 1974.

It was around 1978 or 1979, a Kustom Bass 1, 30 watts through a ten inch speaker. When it wasn't loud enough, I just plugged in a handy Electro-Harmonix LPB-1. You can imagine the final result. I bought it myself with money I made working at Burger King after school.
