My first was a Peavey T40 and the venerable TNT100 amp. I went on to my next bass, which has been modded so many times I'm uncertain what it started as. Basically a P/J copy, I think it was an Applause. Now it has a Badass bridge, EMG pickups, and a Warmoth neck.
I spent the last 9 years on a Warwick Corvette 5 Standard. Tried a new one ($$) and the neck felt like a freaking telephone pole. What happened to Warwick necks?

The guy in the store said they couldn't source the same wood anymore and had to switch. Anyone here know if that is true or not?
Bought my Ampeg BA112 in Europe, and now it is a very expensive doorstop here in NYC. Would love to talk to someone willing to swap out the power supply for a price less than buying a whole new one...
Oh yeah, first bass. Back on topic!
I honestly wished I'd kept the Peavey. Man, that thing was a TON, a total backbreaker. The tone was flat-to-awful, and the look was hideous. What an awesome bass!
