I bought 3 at the same time somewhere between 81 and 83. I went to buy an Ibanez PT9 so I could sound like Stranglehold, LOVED it with an Ibanez TS9 sitting in front of it (I tried it as a way to get Geddy Lee / Chris Squire like dirt) so I had to get the pair. While playing them at Sam Ash in Paramus NJ the sales guy said that since I was a bassist I NEEDED a DOD FX25. And there went my Xmas + Birthday money that year

Hard to remember, it was early 80's and I was in 7th grade...either Ross Phaser, Ibanez Flanger, or original EHX Big Muff. Only one I still have is the Flanger. Man, I wish I still had that huge old Muff!...

Digitech Death Metal pedal, I was young and stupid and worshiped the ground that "hardcore" bands walked on. Since I've moved on to bass, my first pedal was the digitech BP8 if you count multi effects, but singles were my EBVPJR and my sansamp BDDI.
