- Ibanez ATK
- Fender MIM Upgraded
- PartCaster
- Bacchus.

They all look fantastic. Amd one of my favorite basses I own is a parts P bass.

But....

Factory basses are assembled using proven tech. Parts basses are assembled by "se guy/gal" who may have no idea what he/she is doing. I wouldn't buy a parts bass unless...

1) ...I could play it first or....
2) ....the ad reads "assembled/set up by Scott, a very reputable luthier over at Stinky's Guitar Shop for twenty years" (or something similar).

Can you get along with jumbo frets? I can't. That would be a deal breaker for me. I would have voted for the ATK if it was a 4.

The Fender looks good in black, but the headstock ruins it...not to mention I'll never buy another MIM.
The parts bass?
If I wanted one, I'd put together my own. I wouldn't want someone else's idea of what's good.
Never wanted an Ibanez. Never will.

Bacchus and ATK here. Japan makes fine basses.

Just know that those ATKs can get heavy. At least the older ones were.

My Japanese Woodline Bacchus is every bit as good a Japanese Sadowsky Metro I had years back, and a fraction of the price. Way better then any new Fender.

Well do you need a five string? This should eliminate or put this bass to the top. Other then that I would get the Bacchus.
