I've been posting up quite a bit lately...

Currently have...
Boss GT-1B Processor
Boss RC-5 Looper
Boss RC-500 2 LOOP Pedal

Primary concern is playing solo. I've had the GT-1B for a year or two, use it through a Rumble amp(s) for bass and guitar. Very happy with it, it's not going anywhere.

The RC-5 and 500 I've only had a week or two. I'm warming up to both of them quickly. They can be linked via mini stereo plug (midi) to form a 3 loop pedal but the 5 is slave to the 500, with somewhat limited function. I have an older mechanical double switch latching pedal but it only works well with the GT-1B which is understandable. Keeping these two I'll probably end up with a Boss FS6 or FS7 pedal, maybe two so there's another hundred dollars or more...

I'm not deep enough into it yet to know exactly how limited.

At the moment I'm in about $650 maybe more between the two new loopers. I can easily exchange/ refund both for something else, but I don't know enough to know whether I should even be considering this.

I love how much option I'm seeing so far as far as the drum loops it's really incredible. I was never much of a gear guy, if it had strings I played it, grew up using 3 pedals, distortion, flanger, and digitech delay. I still have them.

Being my only purpose and goal here is to go acoustic solo, are there really any other options I should be considering ? I think the boss loopers are amazing, repetition of drums but who knows I might use two on occasion.

I record my own rythym guitar, bass, backing vocals. Drums I'm not a drummer, I could get my idea across but practically speaking I doubt I'll record my own drum tracks.

ATM I plan on just keeping what I have, but it's a lot of $$$ to me, I just wanted to know if anyone thought I'm making a mistake spending $$$ (at least $800 considering the 2 external control pedals), on what I have when I could still return/ exchange for something better. Another 2 weeks or so I won't have that option anymore.

Thanks in advance for the advice/ opinions, you guys/ girls always come up with sound advice for me here !!!!!! I've come to count on it

Joe
