This was a very interesting read. I am very sorry to hear about your ToneHammer 500's demise. Maybe get a second opinion form a local tech.Well pulled the cover on the ToneHammer 500, there is a fuse on the "Ice Module", it is a 6.3 amp ceramic type, replaced it, amp indicator lamp came on, but no sound, called Aguilar, they called back, I told them what happened and the cost to repair the amp is about half the cost of a new amp based on the cost of $699.00, the breakdown is $250 for the "Ice Module", about 2 hours of bench time, at $95.00 per hour, plus shipping, guessing that's going to cost about $40.00 both ways.
So, this has really cost me, and has been an eye opening experience
As to the band, it pretty much ended the relationship, looking at seaking legal counsel
As to the bar owner, a well placed tip to code enforcement, has been made.
As to Talkbass, pretty shocking as to the Grammer reaction, you folks really need to get a life, try typing all this on a dammed smart phone
All I ask now, is learn from this experience.
