So is this all just hypothetical or is someone really actually handing you some cash to buy what you want? I don't see the difference in spending it on one bass or five basses as far as other financial obligations go. If you spend it, the money is gone, right?i would still gof or option 2 because then i could get experiance from a wider range of basses such as fretless/ fretted, 4/5/6/7/8 strings etc.
im not saying i will never dig deep into my pockets for some high end gear, but im not one to spend lots on a guitar due to financial obligations.
