What would you do?

Ok, so I have my ampeg b2re 450wt head and on the 24th/26th I will be purchasing an Ampeg 410he classic slm from a fellow TB user that lives like 5 minutes from me. The cab looks like its in perfect condition and the guy takes amazing care of his gear So I am very happy about that. :] BUT Later I want to get another 8ohm cab to pair with it so Im getting the full 450wts from the head....So what other cab would you guys pair with this?

Thanks! Jacob

Another 410he, seriously. But, getting ALL 450 watts from the amp isn't nearly as important as having adequet speakers for the task. In fact, I'd be surprised if you weren't happy with what you've got lined up, but if it isn't loud enough, another 410he is the answer.

410 and 115 combinations are debated around here. Some love them, some say its a no go for various reasons. But i think most people agree that if you get a sound you like from a cab, then best thing to do is get a second of the same.

Personally i would do two 15s or 2 410s, i wouldnt get into mixing..

Give it a good try with what you plan on putting together. You should have more than enough umph to whatever it is that you need. But I second, or third, the suggestion of doubling up on what you have if you like the sound you are getting.

actually I would get a 2-10 cab ... just be aware that each cab is getting the same power input, but for the power you are talking with the B2, a 210 should handle half that just fine ... that way you dont need to lug the 4-10 for little stuff, and will have 610's at your disposal on the big rig ... I am all about modular .. but then I am old ... jmho
