What would you spend your money on?

Im looking for a little bit of an upgrade. Ive been playing for nearly eight years now and its easy to say Ill be playing bass for a long time to come. I currently play with a scheter c4 elite. A very nice warm sounding bass, thats helped me write a lot of music. But Id like something new. Something thats really punchy, yet way down low with a ringing sustain.

Any of you have a nice axe in mind? I need something with 24 frets on a 31'' scale neck. I like active pick ups but they arent necessary, same as neck thru construction. Im looking to spend around $600-$800

Any ideas at all?

31" scale? If you're playing a C4 you're likely looking for a 34". Then again, I may be mistaken and you could in fact be looking fora short scale bass, which will limit your options severely.
