What year did you get your first 5 string bass ?

1992 - StingRay 5. Transparent Red, unlined fretless. So not only was it my first 5'er, but a fretless one at that! I was a brave lil' bugger in my younger days, huh? 
Sold it (like a complete moron), ended up missing it so much that I bought another a few months later (only this time Honeyburst w/ a lined fretboard - not because I needed the fretlines, but because it looked/felt the best out of the ones I tried). I still have it!

1988 I think. The model was a 1987 Peavey Dyna-Bass. Great move for me. I no longer own a single 5 string bass, but I have two 6 string models, one with frets, one without.
2004 - an orangeburst Spector Q5 (Korean-made). A great bass. I defretted it, bought a replacement neck after realizing that I didn't like playing a fretless, and traded it in on a Pedulla Thunderbass Fiver last August.

1987. The first was an Ibanez whose strings were so close, I could not play it. My next one was a Guild Pilot with 19mm spacing. It was a great bass. If I still had it, I would likely still be happy with it.

I had the fretless grey Peavey Dyna-Bass as my first 5er in '92. Man that bass sounded good and played well. I still kick myself for selling it. It was also the first bass I ever owned (I rented basses from my school before that). I was a brave little bugger, too! I'd love to have it hanging from the wall right now.
Summer 1985 Peavey Dyna-Bass 5 prototype, they sent the bass to the store I worked at for evaluation and i sent them a check instead of the bass back. Still have the bass all original except a string tree to add a bit of down pressure at the nut for the B string.
My first ever bass was a Hamer Chapparal 5str US, and it was back in 1994. I bought it used and still have it. Super great sound. It took me few years to realize how great that bass is.
Late 1985, early 1986 maybe. Ibanez Axstar 5, which I soon sold because the string spacing was too narrow. I moved to an Ibby Roadstar II fiver (Later modded by the guys at Tobias), and then to a Tobias 6.
I started playing bass in 1997 and didn't get my first 5er until 2003. Got a used Dean Edge for $200 at Sam Ash. I've since moved on to a Spector ReBop 5 and a Pedulla Rapture J-2 fretless
