What year was my Cirrus made?

I just bought a Peavey Cirrus 5 today (great bass) and I can't figure out what year it is. I'm fairly certain it is a US model. The Wikipedia page says its only made in the US but I was told it may not be.
So I guess I have two questions really
1. What year was it made
and
2. Is it US made?

Many Cirrus basses out there are made in Asia. Does your Cirrus have "BXP" on the headstock? If so, then it was made in Asia. I don't know if there's a decoding chart for Asian ser. #'s.

No, it just says Peavey Cirrus. No BXP.

If it says Peavey then it's likely before 2006...if it has a HP in script, it's newer. I'm not exactly sure when Peavey went to the script HP (Hartley Peavey), but I thought it was about 2006/2007.

The Serial # for my 2009 starts with 517

I have 2 Peavey Cirrus 5's, both with the bubinga top. They are from around 2000 and start with 105xxxxx

I am searching for the date of my cirrus too. But it is impossible to find. Does anybody know how to find it? SN is 51314683
