Just wondering if anybody has bought a new Ampeg SVT CL or VR that has made by Yamaha on the back? I just rented a brand new CL with the intention of purchasing it and it is a LOUD made one.

I don't think they've released them yet.

That maybe true, I have not seen any anywhere I have been.

I know they had a 50th Ann. SVT head that is not available yet, don't know about CL's etc. now that you mention it.

But seriously, no Yamaha-branded products that I know of have been released yet. But I must point out that I'm only an endorser, I am not an employee, and while I think I'm the bigshot expert, I know nothing.

Sorry, did not mean to run it off on this tangent. I'm just smarting a little from a previous incident revolving around similar questions. But at least you got your answer...to my knowledge, no Ampeg products made by Yamaha are on the market yet. But they do have some badass new merch, including a very cool looking Blue Line t-shirt and pullover

Would Yamaha even have any impact on any aspect of the SVT line of head? I’m not sure Yamaha or Ampeg would want anything to change with their main product. Will components change? Will the people building the amps change? Is Yamaha going to come in and redesign/refine anything in the circuits? My opinion, is that Yamaha will have no impact on these products. Not sure what would be beneficial about having a Yamaha Ampeg vs a Loud Ampeg.

If there is anything that would change, I’d be interested to know what would make the Yamaha Ampeg “better”.
