Just watched the episode of Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown that was about Iran. It was excellent - such a good look at the country, the people, the complications.

One of his interviewees, Iranian-American journalist Jason Rezaian, wrote this after Mr Bourdain passed - Link Removed

Unfortunately, it's kinda difficult to find the episode, since it isn't available to stream (though the rest of the series is. If you search for it on that page, though, it'll pop up.

I still miss Bourdain. I credit him with getting me interested in all things culinary (and travel) after reading Kitchen Confidential back in the day.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

I've been watching Anson Mount since he made Hell On Wheels, one of the best western series in years. I like him as Chris Pike. I'm only midway thru Season 1.

I watched the first two episodes of 'Vietnam in HD' and before that two episodes of 'WWII in HD'.
I can't do that anymore. Those shows mess me up in the head.

New season of The Bear is great so far. The ep where the pastry chef goes to Copenhagen was lovely. I've never seen any show or movie reflect the modern restaurant industry as well as this one.

This is pretty good. Not 100% accurate from what I hear, but certainly entertaining.
