Whatcha watching?

I watched Chaos last night. Never saw a theatrical release in the US. It starred Jason Statham and Wesley Snipes, which is what grabbed my attention (since I'm a sucker for shoot 'em ups and somewhat mindless action movies.) It was...okay. Entertaining but nothing special. Kind of a low-rent, not terribly well-executed Usual Suspects.

I totally enjoyed The Usual Suspects

I don’t watch much Hollywood stuff but totally a fan boy of that film

Great, great film. One of my very best friends played the jewelry dealer who shoots Kevin Spacey in the parking garage. I worked with Stephen Baldwin on another film, 'interesting' experience...

State & Main.
This is quite the collection of actors and actresses, wow. All kinds of big names, including the acting debut of John Krasinski.
It's set in a small Vermont town which is why I started watching it. I'm not sure I'd call this a comedy but I did laugh a few times. Then there were other moments where I was asking myself if I was supposed to be laughing.

Hey! How about a spoiler alert?!:eyebrow:

Just kidding:D...it's my fault I haven't seen the movie yet. I think I'll finally get around to it now...

Maybe not such a spoiler as I got it backwards... but, anyway, scene in the garage. That film has been out so long I forget and sort of assume everyone's seen it which obviously isn't the case.

I walked out of The Beekeeper about halfway through. Boring, repetitive, unoriginal fight choreography backed by dialogue and a "story" too stupid not to annoy me but not stupid enough to take it beyond the line between serious and parody. This movie is a piece of ****. I'm not expecting top tier dialogue in a Jason Statham movie but this was just inept. Like it was written by uncreative teenagers. His dialogue in the fast and furious movies is better, and that's saying a lot. He was bad in this movie and I've liked him in everything I've seen him in. Jeremy Irons shows up and reads lines. He does okay. I don't think he read the script. He's just kinda there saying things. The kid from the hunger games is the primary antagonist, I think. This is a bad movie.
