Whatcha watching?

This one never occurred to me at the time but here's another bit of bad writing from the end of GOT.

"Leave the World Behind"

A slow burn that led to a very unsatisfying ending. I don't need for a movie to end with a nice, neat, pretty, perfectly tied-up bow, but this movie ended up being a waste of my time.

The ending didn't bother me...

It was obvious the family would find the daughter as they knew about the bunker from Kevin Bacon's character - and be well supplied.

The missus and I recently started watching Jane The Virgin based on a friend's recommendation. Starting with Season 1, Episode 1 and continuing chronologically

Holy crap are there a lot of episodes!!! 5 seasons and ~20 episodes each?!? This is gonna be a long slog.

Fortunately, it's been pretty entertaining. Lots of cute devices that mess with the 4th wall without breaking it, an entire meta-relationship with Latin telanovelas (it both parodies them and includes them & their casts in the story line), and some wonderful performances, especially from lead actress Gina Rodriguez.

“Into The Woods”

A Polish working of a Harlan Coben novel

Netflix

apparently there’s 8 different books of his worked for Netflix. I have watched 3 …I’m guessing if you like 1 the others will be worth a bo peep

The Stranger was quite good and the one with the guy from 6 Feet Under
Ive just started the British one, Fool Me Once, on Netflix. Good so far. Safe is another British Harlen Coben series that was good.

It's the time of year in our house that we catch up on shows and watch the weather outside go from cold to stupid cold!
The Bear - really really like this show and have caught up to current offerings
Monarch- I've been a Godzilla fan since childhood watching those old b/w movies but this show is like watching grass grow! I would have dropped it but my wife likes it so I just sit there a cringe.
Letterkenny - this is the last season of a truly Canadian production that, well, if not Canadian, some of the humour may be lost. We love it!

Letterkenny is great. Perfect late night/post-gig fodder with a beer and bad freezer food. Also:

Because hockey brings people together. And the dude had his tooth pulled for effect FFS!

I haven't seen Barbie but was surprised that it was not being considered for the Oscar awards for some reason.
We watched "Barbie" last weekend. While it was good in spots in an existential way, and certainly wasn't what we expected, it wasn't groundbreaking. I thought Margot did a really good job with that role, though.
