6 Feet Under was good TV , I quite liked some if the scripts there.
The Leftovers.
I watched the first episode. I'm not sure if this show is for me or not. It's kind of brutal at times. The people who don't talk are irritating.

Watched a movie yesterday that stuck with me afterwards. Never Let Me Go (2010). Set in an alternate reality 1978 after a medical breakthrough allows folk to live beyond 100. As Wikipedia describes it (I looked up some info about it after the movie), a British dystopian romantic tragedy.
In my opinion, it hit all the marks. Beautiful photography, excellent writing, good pacing, nice music, touching, acting was incredible by all. What was interesting is the twist was revealed early and didn't distract, but added to the remaining movie. Seeing a movie this good is a rarity for me. Then again, maybe I have strange tastes and am hard to please LOL.

When it was released, I assumed it was just a hastily-made money grab to capitalize on Mark Hamill's "Star Wars" fame, so I assumed it sucked, but I keep hearing good things about it.
Yup, Mark Romanek. Some of the best music videos back when they meant something as a visual medium. He also directed One Hour Photo with Robin Williams.
It's the time of year in our house that we catch up on shows and watch the weather outside go from cold to stupid cold!
The Bear - really really like this show and have caught up to current offerings
Monarch- I've been a Godzilla fan since childhood watching those old b/w movies but this show is like watching grass grow! I would have dropped it but my wife likes it so I just sit there a cringe.
Letterkenny - this is the last season of a truly Canadian production that, well, if not Canadian, some of the humour may be lost. We love it!

Continuing to dig TD Night Country. I like the ties to season 1 and the seeming lean into the supernatural, though with the mine pollution there is a path to a perfectly natural cause for things too.
