Whatcha watching?

Also, (and hopefully without giving away too much), there could have been less about the private security hearing. As important as it was, it got rather tedious. I don't mind a 3-hour movie, but IMO this movie could have been at least a half an hour shorter.
The movie definitely drags during those scenes, and I mentioned that to my wife and son as we left the theater.

My kid and I watched "Dumb and Dumber" last night. He loved it, of course. That movie was a big part of the summer of 1995 along with "Tommy Boy". I worked at a books, music and video store at the time and we played those two movies constantly.

Agreed, except for that one short scene in the kangaroo court. ;)

I'm on B-rated sci-fi run here. Dug this one out. They spent no expense on props. Literally, no expense.
I think they heisted every single one from other movies.

Several were cheesy. My absolute favorite was the director's usage of a hot water boiler gauge spinning and the borrowed Galaxie 500 speedometer to show how fast the "spaceship" was going. Gawd, I loved this! :roflmao:

Some stories are difficult to comprehend — too much misery, too much intrigue, too much suffering. The Wanted would be one of them.

More than half a million people were killed during Rwanda's genocide against its Tutsi minority in 1994.

Thirty years on, Guardian reporter Ben Doherty travels to Rwanda to investigate the allegations — and confronts the man accused of being involved in several killings, who is now an Australian citizen.
Like everyone else at Shawshank, the man says he's innocent. Assumptions have been made. It's good to see, we're on the case, to find out.

American Fiction. Kinda refreshing after too much long format tv with way to much filler. Plot's a well trodden path. But I'm liking jokes don't need setting up.

Getting a bit slowing the middle, tho.

In case the grandkids ever want to know who Steven King is.

I very much enjoyed this movie. The guy playing Bob Marley was excellent. I'm reading a lot of negative reviews. Seems people think the story was rushed and hollow and inaccurate in a lot of ways. Maybe it was but it was very entertaining. Some of the Jamaican patois was difficult to understand but you get the gist of it. The sound was great. Good movie.

Watched the original Planet of the Apes (1968) and original Cannonball Run (1981) recently. Just fun to watch again.

Ran into a vid yesterday about the 2021 film Dune. Narrator uses the books to fill in much of what wasn't explained in the movie. If you've seen, and liked, the film but haven't read the books, the vid might be worth watching.

Also great for folk like me who read the series decades ago and needed some refreshing LOL.

Almost 1.5 hours long (I watched it over two nights). Moves quickly and done with touches of humor.

You can watch the first ~2 minutes to give you a reference of what to expect.
