Whatcha watching?

Challengers is the most pretentious movie I've ever seen. Remember how Derek Zoolander's looks were all the same with different names and it was a joke in a comedy? That's this movie but it's very serious and just awful.
The trailer makes it look like the movie is just an excuse to show young people having sex, with some tennis and drama thrown in to make it seem like there's an actual plot. I was not intrigued.

That’s disappointing to hear. I’ve read a lot of praise, and I like Zendaya. Plus, the Trent Reznor score was a selling point for me. However, I’ve found that most everything that gets praise these days comes off as “meh” once I see it.

She was fine in it. I can understand why people liked it. The sound and cinematography are.....effective, it seems, for what the film makers were trying to accomplish. I just didn't like it.
It's a story about seemingly mostly gay men and a woman who uses their infatuation with her and their sexual frustration with each other to force them to become great tennis players so she can vicariously live through them. That's the story, and it's told via fiercely looking into each other's eyes while too-loud music plays. It's not a bad story, but it didn't entertain me.

The next show I’m waiting on is the new season of The Boys in June. Need a few shows in the meantime for when I have time. Like Sci-fi and weird stuff.
Will probably try to catch the new Dune and Civil War soon.
Three recent shows that are both sci-fi and weird:

Fallout (Amazon)
Three Body Problem (Netflix)
Constellation (Apple)

Definitely see Dune 2!

The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.
On the Roku they have a channel that only plays reruns. I dig it for many reasons.

So funny. Saw a clip where he had George Burns on. Johnny was asking him if his doctor knew he smoked so many cigars every day, and before he could even finish, Burns just says, my doctor’s dead. Broke everybody up.
