Whatcha watching?

The Old Man is pretty good. Nice to see a show about women wielding power in a deeply patriarchal society. History is full of that. Too bad the lithium seems to be China bound IRL. Some of the violence seems a bit John Wick. Like somebody secretly knows they're getting too old for action roles.

Only finding so much value in Disney. Shogun, Banner of Heaven, few seasons I missed when I ditched the cable. Paradise could turn into something.

I fast forwarded through most of a movie called Flesh. The winter soldier and the girl from Twister 2. He's a charming cannibal who kidnaps her to eat some of her and to sell her parts to evil rich people, which they depict with close up montages of evil rich people slovenly eating. It's ludicrous. Whatshisname really goes for it. I think it was meant to be intense but it came off as comical. Ridiculous movie.

"A Grammy Salute to Earth. Wind & Fire Live: The 21st Night of September"

It's a great concert. The band and orchestra killed. Philip Bailey's vocals were very inconsistent, but he's been hitting those high notes for 50+ years, and he's a true singing legend, so I have no problem giving him a pass. His voice was still clear and true on the highest sustained notes, though, and that was very gratifying to hear.

The guest performers in various locations were hit and miss - I'm glad the show focused mainly on EWF's performance. It's still tough to see and hear EWF without Maurice White, though... 😢

I love what Richard Pryor had to say about this movie in one of his stand-up routines! 🤣

Oh yeah, I noticed the movie looked a little lily white right from the git. Rich made a good call.
But when I was much younger, my focus was more on Jenny Agutter.;)
I could have sworn he mentioned Roscoe Lee Browne only appearing as a robot too in his routine. Can't find that.

That sounds like a great show. The only time I've seen EW&F was in the summer of '73 when they opened for Stevie Wonder at Blossom Music Center. :hyper:
