It was great - especially the way the information was doled out in the first three, or four episodes.
The thing is, it gave up all its secrets on the first viewing, and whilst it's still fun to watch again, you don't gain anything from repeat viewings.
For many, the second season was a huge disappointment (I thought it had plenty of good moments, but wasn't in the same league as the first season), but I have to say, of all four seasons so far - the second season is the only one that not only stands up to repeat viewings, it reveals so much extra detail each time, that it improves over time.
Staying in for New Years Eve. It's rainy and chilly. Going to have a glass of wine (or two) because the pizza has just arrived and going watch an old sci-fi favorite of ours to round things out. My kind of evening when it's like this.
Wife and I have been doin' the same since yesterday. She got me hooked on this tradition many moons ago.
SyFy and H&I (Heroes & Icons) both have different marathons going on. If we've recently seen an episode, we change channels LOL.

Baby Driver. Really good. Better than I remembered.
Finished Stranger Things. It flagged here and there, but the final episode was great. Going to carry some Joyce Byers energy into 2026.
Yeah, it ended strong. The epilog was overly long though and everyone in that town, including all of the abducted kids, just going back to normal was odd. Hawkins Indiana has some resilient folks
I don't know, I kinda liked the epilogue. Seemed to me it was for the actors, they spent a big portion of their lives making the show and the goodbyes felt like more than acting.
Finally started Murderbot on Apple TV. Kind of silly, but very entertaining.
We finished "Stranger Things" over the weekend. A very strong ending.
We also watched "One Battle After Another". Mr. Hand would be so proud of Spicoli! Seriously, Penn should get an Oscar nod for that role. Dang!

We've just started the season, and I wasn't thrilled with the first episode, but if it builds to a good conclusion I'll stay motivated.
After Stranger Things, next up for me will be Alien: Earth. The wife is not on board for this one. I hope it isn't another "hive mind" scenario, because I've watched lots of stuff with that theme lately.
Yeah, that was surprisingly great, and my wife loved it. I'm looking forward to more seasons. The books are supposed to be excellent.
Watched The Dark Crystal. Last time I saw it was 1982 when I was 12. It's a great movie. I think it's aged well.
Yes indeed, that's a good one. 40 plus years after I saw it for the first time, same age group as you, it still freaked me out a couple times.
1982 was a good year for movies. Just a few posts up from this one, @MonetBass makes a reference to one of my favorites. Beastmaster was that year and so was The Sword and The Sorcerer. That movie sparked my Dungeons and Dragons obsession that lasted a few years.
