I got the same vibe. Initially I thought it could be a winner, then as the trailer went on I changed my mind.No. I will check it out.
I just watched it. It doesn’t look very good to me.

The first few episodes were too cheesy for a lack of a better word. Midway through was somewhat disjointed? And then the over the top battle with vecna and the creature was just too much. It had lost the simple heart and magic of the prior seasons in my opinion.Care to elaborate?

I had read the book years ago. Did not know they had made a movie out of it. The movie was good. I would recommend. If you are not familiar with the book or movie, it is pretty crazy and gets dark.
The book was written in the 70's and the director went with a 70's feel. It looks and feels like something 70's British. I could easily see Alex and his Droogies living in the same town as the High Rise.
I think the whole point of this film was a set up for Bone Temple.A very UK-focused film. I’m looking forward to seeing Bone Temple.
Been meaning to watch this one since I've liked some of the director's other movies. He also did Kill List, which was insane.View attachment 7413536

If you watch the first two, which also have a lot of gratuitous sax and violinsWatched the last half of "Deadpool & Wolverine."
The pairing worked. The movie? IMO, it was a Marvel movie with an abundance of blood and cussing. It was as if the filmmakers said to themselves, "We get to make an R-rated movie? Really?! Then let's go all out!!!" To be clear, I wasn't offended by the violence or the language, but a lot of it seemed gratuitous, and some was sexually graphic to an unnecessary degree. It seemed forced to me.
The movie certainly had its moments, though, and I do want to watch the whole thing.
EDIT: I haven't seen "Deadpool" 1 or 2.
We watched episode one last night. It was kind of "A knight's tale" with a little Westeros type kitsch.Did anyone else have no idea there's a new Game of Thrones spinoff?
