What's a decent price for a Yamaha BB1600?

Really got my eye on a '84 MIJ Yamaha BB1600 bass, the guy is asking $800. Just wondering if it's a good deal. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

$800 seems a bit high. I've seen them on T.B. in $350 to $500 range. Saw one on EvilBay sit at $750..$800 should almost get you BB3000,the virtually a neck-through version of the BB1600...
