What's a good webcam for recording vid's.

Hello guys

I have two questions for you:

1) I would like to know which webcam would give nice visual recordings, for if I decide to record instruments through pc.

2) I would also like to know which webcam would grant me nice recordings, both visual and audio. In case I don't want to record through pc, but just want to record everything with the webcam only.

I never had good results with webcams esp. for bass. I had a deadline coming due so I ended up buying a Zoom Q3HD video recorder ($299) and got my work done. You can spend more of course but then you are getting into video production such as CanonVixia HFS30 Camcorder ( over a grand) . I would check out the Q3 first before you spend too much ...Good luck ......
