What exp mods did you get? I'm seriously considering an expression in and out when I (finally) order mine. Don't know which knob the out will control, maybe just a sweep of whatever the Broadcast is warping.

Yeah, welcome to the club. I'm lost in ridiculous variety of delay sounds with this thing (Timeline). Can't wait for the bread to come in for me to buy a DMC-3 to control the loop function separately... very fun.

In: MXR 6-Band EQ, T1M mini buffer

Out: nothing yet; but I may switch up my Octamizer for an Octron soon... we'll see...

i just got in the TimeLine MSUoosiephone was kind enough to lend me. gonna plug it up here in a hinute. it's a bit smaller than i thought, which is awesome. but it kinda pisses me off that at $450 you need ANOTHER $130 box to use the looper effectively? that's....... not cool. at that price point i'd expect it to be well integrated or for them to offer a VERY affordable (in the $50 range) breakout midi control box.

i just hate money grab stuff like that. not fair to customers that help support your bidness.

lol. annnnnnnnnnd......... i've got the Hot Hand staring at me. all malevolent like. because i have nothing to plug it into. hopefully the BEF Pro gets here tomorrow. that'd be GEECHY.

Mine will have an EXP input and a 2nd footswitch. In one position the EXP input will be routed through to the output bypassing all of the Broadcast's LFO stuff. In the other it operates as a normal broadcast and the EXP in controls the ratio knob to sweep through the multipliers.

There's a more basic version he offers that has the EXP control of the ratio (or range/depth) but without the switch to pass control through to the output. He can also make it with more than one output.

I am really looking forward to this, but even moreso to using it with an Expressionator once they are available.

B-man, I totally agree. It offers the expression/tap out, but you can't have both off the pedal without midi control. And switching back and forth between looper and delay is a beeeeaaaayooooch!

I guess the real question is: Is the combination of a $450 effect with a $150 controller worth what you can get in another single effect for $600? I honestly have no idea, but I'm gonna give it the o'l college try. I have a project coming up that will include a TON of delay and looping, so this option is the most cost effective for me whilst still offering me a s*ton of options (based on my limited research, of course), and I love options.

Seriously, and without rancor, antagonism, or any intent on being a Strymon fanboy (I'm a MXR/FEA/EWS/Darkglass/Wren & Cuff/[sfx] fanboy, if you must know), if anyone wants to point me to an effect that equals in features and quality what the Timeline/DMC-3 combo can do for less than $600, I'd be super interested. :smug:

I must say though, hats off to Disaster Area Amps for offering just the DMC board and all the firmware you want to make your own controller (way cheaper than $150). That is super cool and makes me want to put them on my fanboy list too!

But yeah Behndy, really; $150 more to get the full use out of an already pricey effect is a lot to swallow. I'm trying to relax my jaw, and all that...:p

i find myself not looping near as much as i want to, so if end up buying a Timey i dunno if that'll even factor in. it's more the idea of it. got super distracted today, have it all setup, gonna go get some foods the. play with the 'Timey i've got here. WOOT.

Incoming: TAFM w/ Gate mod footswitch. There's a Serxy one on fuzzhugger.com that's blue and green....yeah....that's mine.

Ultimate Fuzz Off will be happening on my board once the Super Puzzle and Second Voice get here. There Will Be Fuzz. I Drink Your Milkshake.

Bassically...har har har....I had some funds come in but I'm not GASing on too much...so I figured I would AB some very resellable fuzzes.

I'm pretty sure my Prunes & Custard is as good as gone....I'll let it sit until the Fuzz Kumatai, though....
