Ive had a PC-2A for several months now and it is an almost always on pedal for me. It took me a little while to get used to the action of the compressor, but it was worth it. I keep the ratio knob very low, and the drive around 10 or 11, limit switch down, and get an awesome fat tubey sound.

I just returned from bandpractise where i used the PC-2A with drums, 2 rockguitarists and vocals. And i am blown away and couldn't be happier. The sound is tight, smooth, cuts through like a knife without being pushy and kicks you in the gut. And i am not using any kind of OD, fuzz or dist. Just bass -> Thumpinator -> PC-2A -> TC RH750 with tubetone and comp off and a Markbass 410HF

I can sell the EBS multicomp, VT bass and Multiwav distortion pro without a single regret. So you could say i am happy.

My GF just fell in love with the Ravish last night via demo on EH's site. I'd love to read a review, however brief, after you've played with it a bit! :hyper:

the EQD Organizer they just announced is speaking to me though.

oh yeah. it looks like it'll maybe get in the range of what i liked from the Rainbow Machine, but in a small enough box that super occasional use won't bother me.

furrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrk. i miss the Particle. i want one. i want one HARD.

Stopped by the booth to hear this today. I don't remember if it was Jamie or the other guy but I had him strum while I played with the dials. Sounds pretty freaking cool. I'm interested when its avialable.

Okay, so maybe a quick mention of my Ravish experience so far. Plugged it in and tried just going through the nine presets with my jazz with flats, then my jazz with rounds. It sounds better to me with the rounds, especially the sympathetic strings component. Presets are good, but I'd want to tweak most of them for my own taste. After playing with it and tweaking some of the parameters, it seems to me to be very good at what it sets out to do, and that is get some ballpark sitar sounds. It does some synthy and even pseudo fretless sounds too. Watch the youtube video to see what I mean. The freeze function works okay. I like how you can change the key. The "exotic" key they include is the major scale with a flat 2nd and a flat 6th. My expression pedal doesn't work with it, so I could not test out that function. It requires a tip ring sleeve one I think. The expression pedal will allow you to either change the pitch of the lead tone or to volume swell the sympathetic strings in or out. You can change the, up-to, 17 strings of the sympathetic drones to whatever tones you wish. I had a blast tonight playing with it. It does some cool stuff. The general presets also don't have names, just numbers 1-9. Let's see what else...? Oh yeah, you can run a separate out to another amp for just the sympathetic strings. Buffered bypass I think... It didn't suck tone anyway... You can change a bit of the modulation of the drones, the "Q" of the drones, but they changes were fairly subtle.
