What's Coming & Going Thread, Part "FORE!!" (IV)

In addition to other things I am waiting on...
Going: Macbook Pro 17" to Apple for repairs (cracked screen), along with it goes my ability to browse these forums whenever I want to. :(

Hopefully it gets back to me soon, I hate using this PC. The keyboard is clunky and large, the screen is a widescreen but can only display in 1024x768 (way to go Windows... Yes, trust me, I've tried to change the resolution. I used to fix PC's for a living...), and I miss my trackpad and the ability to zoom in and out at will and scroll in all four directions (stupid mouse scroll wheels...). :spit:

Wilikers! Already broked? What happened?

Plugged in an active P, engaged, and then POP. I can still cycle through presets and everything lights up, except I can't actually engage the pedal. The bypass light won't even turn on - it just bypasses the signal and ignores the footswitch. I don't think it's the actives, since smurf used a Stingray without incident, so I think I just got some bad wiring, iffy parts, or something. EHX is really cool about it, though; they said since it's this early since their release it would definitely be under warranty even if the pedal gets there before the warranty card, since I'm sure they want to know how this happened as well.

I have the Korg Nano Key and it's pretty fun. I'd like to try some of the other stuff in the Nano series but I have also taken a step back from production. The size is a definite plus. Have fun with the Nano Pad. :)

It is looking more and more like the Digitech Talker is here to stay. I am also starting to second guess the EHX XO Bass Micro Synth. That is quite a load of cash to drop on a pedal that probably won't be used much in the band setting. It seems like a blast to play around with on my own, no doubt able that. It sure is mighty impressive. I have been considering a cheaper synth and the option of pairing it with a delay of some sort. I'll be doing a little bit of research tonight.

I started setting up my rack last night. I need to put my amp in it and also order a rackmount keyboard tray. Is it safe to put an amp in the middle of the rack? My B1500 is pretty heavy; I don't know if it should be put in the bottom three spaces or if the rack ears can handle that. I'd like to have the bottom five spaces of my rack for pedals but it shouldn't be a problem if I have to put the amp at the bottom.

The only thing that I am certainly getting/ordering soon is the rackmount keyboard tray. I'm hoping to get my rack close to how I want it configured within the next week or so. I'll only have two pedals in my chain but the tray will make it look pretty nice. I'll also keep an eye out for some cheap LED tubes for lighting the bottom of the rack (making the pedals easier to see).

Coming soon: Avatar 210

Not sure if you played through it at the GTG, but that's the cab I brought. I really dig mine, I think you'll be quite happy with it. I recently added an Avatar 2x12!

IN: Peavey Cirrus 6 back from luthier (Tenorio Werx, Denver) with piccolo strings. Immediately tuned it to my first altered tuning of A E A Db E B. :D Glad I decided not to sell it, sounds amazing!

SOON: Valerus, I heard back from John Fromel, I'll be placing my order for a custom Seraph in the next day or two. He's going to put a Link Removed on it (told him I'd like "a badass angel") and use white LEDs... so kind of the antithesis to your Sauron. lol :D :D :D

STILL WAITING: Custom Stambaugh 6, build starts in August. :hmm:

That is kinda one of the reasons I'm getting it. I really liked the tone of that cab. I might get a 412 for larger louder stuff someday, but I hope his avatar will do me good through college.

Dude, I'm pretty sure you'll be fine. What are you powering it with? Is it 8ohm or 4ohm? I've got the 8ohm, so with my Shuttle it gets 375 watts, it's super punchy and surprisingly deep. It should get you through almost any gig... I could see it working just as well in a light jazz trio as a louder rock set. Make sure to let us know what you think!

4ohm.:ninja: It will get the full 480 watts from my 700RB.

PAID: Bills! I hate bills. They just get in the way of my G.A.S.
ORDERED: Just sent payment to John for a custom Fromel Seraph!
WAITING: 8 weeks :bawl:

I think that would definitely be pretty potent, for sure. Just be aware that with that head, you won't be able to pair a 4ohm 2x10 with another cabinet, that head isn't 2ohm stable. If you want to keep the option open for another cab, get the 8ohm... 320watts is still a pretty darn good amount of power for a 500 watt cab. Just throwing that on the wall for you! :)
