Nothing. 10 months unemployed after 13 straight years of being a Responsible Citizen. This economy sucks.
It's not much better for us students. My summer classes have all been cancelled, fall quarter is looking bleak, next year even bleaker, and Cal Grants are soon to be going out the window necessitating larger student loans, and forcing about 50-75% of the incoming freshmen to drop out of 4-years and enroll in 2-years making them overcrowded... :hmm:
Way to go [Arnold]Kah-li-fohr-nia[/Arnold]... :rollno:

For what it's worth, the Malekko 300 and 600 delays do sound a bit different. The 300 is much better at quick, clean reverb.

I'm all for delay fetish, there are 2 on their way to me right now. Oh, and a Battering Ram. Hooray!

You're right about that. Although you must pay very close attention to hear the difference.
I first tried them last night, I'm loving them.
It does reverb simulating really well.

I like most of the time a short delay, to give that bit of dimension to the sound. The Malekko bright is very musicly. It inspired me to keep noodling.
I think I may have found an excellent delay for my taste.

Coming:
Valerus Messdrive Hybrid +
EHX Nano Baseballs

Going:
Russian Baseballs

Hope the Nano sounds the same as the big russian model. If it does that frees up room for the nano and the messdrive in the same space. :)

Man, that sucks. I read through your blog a couple of months back. Interesting insight, especially for me since I haven't been out of work since I was 13, 36 years ago. (Sorry, I didn't mean it to sound like I was gloating or anything.)

Best to you in your job search.

Back on topic: in the past couple of weeks....

In: Schroeder 1210L cabinet, Nordy NJ4s '70s wound, '91 Charvel Eliminator, lots of parts and a couple of cases. Also a Ryobi drill press and a Porter Cable router. One of these days I'm going to build a bass from scratch.

Out: As usual, nothing. I need a bigger house.

Going: FINALLY, I HAVE RID MYSELF OF THE LINE6 AM4. Yes, that is worthy of all caps. Actually, to be fair, I'm going to be rid of it on Thursday, as the county in which the GC I frequent (my previous posts will tell you the city; you figure out the county) has a ten-day waiting period on used goods to make sure they haven't been stolen. This is because of what's coming in, which is...

Coming: Voodoo Lab Proctavia. Since the Proctavia was brought to the GC on Monday, June 1, I have to wait until the 10th or 11th to get it. It's on layaway, because A. I actually intend to buy it (but, thanks to Kathleen Falk, I can't), and B. there's some way to get around sales tax if I do it this way.

The Nano Bassballs is great, you'll love it.

And I didn't know there's a special MessDrive Version called the Valerus version :p

In: Skreddy Echo with Ibanez AD-80 in the effects loop is best delay sound I've ever had.

Out: Prometheus, Catalinbread V8, Pickle Pie hella FuzzB, Boss RE-20

Coming in: Bass Angler, realization I spend all my money on things I don't need but like very much.:help:
