Whats Coming & Going Thread Pt. Fife! V

It was, it is, it shall ever be.

Apparently I've convinced myself that I need two complete, independent board setups so instead of buying another Pitchblack (or duct-taping my ol' Sabine which still works fine no matter how many times I've screamed at it), I went with my home state's solution to everybody's favourite intonation problem.

In: Boss DD-3 (but it's a Christmas present for my grandfather :( )

Out: Digitech Multi Chorus and Bass Driver (not sold, but under the Christmas tree for my son)

We need to get past Christmas so I can get back to selfishly buying things for myself.

FWIW - I've been building hot-rod gaming rigs for a number of years now...that's not such a bad price, actually. Who's building it? You mentioned that the quad would be O/C'd to over 3GHz...what cooler will it use?

Oh, that's good to hear! It's my first custom built PC so I'm still a little overwhelmed by the process and don't have anything to compare it to. And yeah, I forgot to mention the heatsink:

...the heatsink...
Those are nice, but you'll need to be rather careful when physically moving the case - that 'sink is heavier than 'recommended' for most motherboards, and could possibly actually snap off (as in, break) the mounting area of the 'board. I'm not trying to scare you with this, but it has happened before, and I hope the builder is aware of this when it comes time to pack/ship it to you .

He's driving it to my front door! :D But thanks for the heads up. I'm going to treat it like a baby.

In (finally): Sun Face BC-108. I compared it with NKT-275 and I like the second one better (maybe because it's my first germanium fuzz and I'm very used to silicon dirt boxes), still both are great. Si has much more gain, is tighter and brighter. Ge is warmer, rounder and a little bit flabby. I really like to run it with sun dial all the way down for more starving sound.
