9V is 9V is 9V...whether it's hooked up as center-positive or center-negative, it's still 9V power. It can be changed over to green power easily.

It's a Mk1 that's been tweaked to be louder and have more bass.



It looks great, I really can't wait to get my hands on it! It was made by Ian Sherwen at Link Removed, he's been really great to deal with!

I bought this with the intent to use it on guitar but I'll probably see how I like it on bass; turns out MkI's sound pretty awesome on bass... :bassist:

It's positive ground due to the PNP transistors or its running a -ve power rail inside. You can wire in a 9VDC power socket but you could not use the same power supply for other negative ground pedals or as soon as you connect the jacks the power supply will short.

I do a Toneblender based design as well called the Fuzzy Feeling and the Fuzzy Feeling bass which have an aux power jack so have to explain this a lot.

Thanks for that, Dave! So could I use a battery clip to 9v converter to power it from an isolated power supply?

No, a polarity reverser will not do it. It's not the polarity of the adapter that's the problem. The old PNP germanium transistors used in Fuzz Faces and Tonebenders are positive ground, which is a problem, because almost all other pedals nowadays use negative ground, and positive voltage for power. If you put both of these types of pedals on the same power chain, all power gets sent to ground. Nothing will work.
