Whats Coming & Going Thread Pt. Fife! V

It's perfectly great, but the Pitchblack tracks just as fast, and is MUCH easier to read in darkness (aka any stage I've ever been on) due to the red/green bit. Unless you're a luthier, or hell bent on perfect intonation, save your cash.

I think that I am just going to go ahead with the pitchblack. I really like the pitchblack+, its just big and has more features than I am likely to use in the near future. The display is definitely easy to read on a dark stage, I was worried about the turbo tuner's display TBH.

I'm interested in hearing about how this works with bass.

Coming:

BJFE.org Folk Fuzz kit. Follow the link for more info and pics!

Those boxes look great! Built a folk fuzz last year, and it sounds good in silicon or germanium. I found that an input bass control was more usefull than a lowpass ofter the clipping, but that was just me. Its a fun fuzz, and a pretty straightforward build. Hope you enjoy it!

Thanks...I think the boxes look pretty good too! I am "whimping out" on the build part. Since I don't know my way around a soldering gun very well, I'm having someone else build the pedal.

Axe-Fx Ultra came yesterday! It's by far the best music equipment purchase I've ever made and is endlessly powerful. It could really handle about 95% of my amp and effects needs for any scenario.

Incoming: Mountainking Megalith, maybe a Verellen Big Spider

Just arrived: Creation Audio Holy Fire

Going: Artec wah, Copilot Orbit, Tech21 XXL B

My overdrives are going to have a fight to the death and I suspect the VT and BB are going to defeat the SFT and Holy Fire.

Maybe, maybe not. The Holy Fire is fairly different than the others. The VT and SFT are obviously more colored while the Holy Fire is very transparent and flatter than the mid-humped BB. That doesn't mean you'll necessarily like it more than the others, but it does have its own flavor.

Hey Jared. I've been lurking more than posting.

Speaking of Robot Factory, incoming: Pulse Synth :ninja:

Also speaking of Robot Factory, my Brain Freeze showed up Friday. Updated board pics to come.

We shall see - I only bought the Holy Fire on an impulse as I got a good deal on it used. I might hang onto the SFT as a clean recording preamp as it sounds great for that. Who, knows, I'll probably end up keeping the lot!

What is this contraption??

:D

Looks pretty cool, what do all the controls do? Is there a thread on it somewhere?

The bottom left in output level, the bottom right is input level. As for the top 3, well Devi has always been cryptic about it, and they were just labeled I, II and III on the old one.

I can't imagine there'd be a thread on it, as there's probably only a dozen or so in existence. I'm bringing it to band practice tonight and will report back.

In: Bee Bass that I've waited over 18 months for!

Out: Analog.man Dark Peppermint, Sonic Research ST-200.

Considering: Selling 1/3rd of my pedals to buy a custom G&L L-2000.
