the akai deep impact synth pedal? I want a smooth, crisp synth sounds like chris wolstenholme from muse. I know I know, I searched, and I know he uses multiple pedals, but I just want to know what pedals are out there RIGHT NOW that can hang with the deep impact...

A quick search would easily reveal the top two candidates are the Korg G5 and the EH Bass Micro Synth.
I own a Deep Impact and a BMS. I have tried a Korg G5 and am drooling over the new chunk.
Obviously I havn't tried the chunk systems one yet, but out of the others, while they are great synths, they are still different to the Akai. The Akai certainly has some unique sounds. Some are a bit cheesy, but unique non the less.

does that imply that you dont want to wait on octavius squeezer from chunk systems? theres a good chance that octavius is going to be kind of like what the deep impact could have been.
i used to have an EHX bass microsynth, very good synth sounds and such. but as with every EHX pedal ive ever owned, it died on me :scowl:
