Where's the ska option??

Nice, I'm not the only one. I'm in a ska band, but some of our songs are pure funk, others are reggae, some are rock, but we always kind of orbit around Ska.

Been playing a lot of stuff lately. I clicked other because I've been playing a lot of garage and rockabilly as of late.
Lots of worship these days, but also some classic rock, blues, even a bit of jazz once in a while.
If I take the time to learn a song its from bands like bands like Kings of Leon...Wilco...or Alt indie bands like The Inbreds..
Im in a band right now that is staying booked mostly with newer upbeat top 40 type country. We also throw in some older country, classic rock, even a little funk. Whatever to keep them in the club and on the dance floor. It's pretty cool going from Lady Antebellum into Brickhouse. I also play praise music in church sometimes but that is not a paying gig for me. I just do it because I like it. That is how I learned to improvise, by learning praise choruses on the spot whenever the band leader would kick one off that I didn't know and doing my best to be on it.
