My only fiver is a well beaten Ibanez SR 305 that my attempts at repairing have taken from working sometimes to not working anytime electronics. I have $79 in it, so I don't really care how long it takes to repair. I've got time to learn.

Those are Nordstrands with the Mike Pope Flexcore preamp. Munjibunga was the influence for the change from the stock Lakland electronics. The pre has the low and high mid stacked controls, so it's actually a 4 band pre.

The Tribute M2500 is a great bass value, the B string is every bit as good as a U.S. MM, less than half the price of an MM and it hangs really close. I've owned two Sterling by Music Man Ray 35's and they are great bang for the dough basses as well. The off shore stuff is getting really good.

Spector NS-5J2 Fretless (left) and a NS-5MM1 (right)!! I love both, but my fretless is by far my favorite. I'm hoping to add a more traditional style 5 string J in the next year or so!

Here's my awesome big 5-string arsenal:

Made in 1991 by a local company run by ex-employees of Michael Tobias when he had the Guitar Shop in Orlando called the Guitar Factory. Was a deep red, but while I loved it at first, I ended up thinking it looked really garish so I stripped it on a whim. Didn't ruin it. Has EMG PJ's, BTS preamp and a Kahler fixed bridge. Nice bass, but I just don't enjoy playing a 5 anymore onstage, so I pretty much only practice with it on occasion. I keep it around just in case someone calls requesting it, but that's happened twice in the last 10 years.
