What's in your "ManCave"?

IMG_2455.JPG

Bad pano picture, but you get the idea. Essentially, my "man cave" is three rooms in my basement: my bar, my office right next to it, and a bathroom next to the office (not pictured). You can't see it in the picture, but my desk, GK rig, and another TV are in my office across from the couch. It's my space; the family almost never goes down there.

There's a short blurb in the December January issue of Motorcyclist about Enduro Fest populated mostly by the Yamaha 2 stroke enduros. My first bike was the Honda 450 scrambler. Now that the bun boys have decided that they like those old Honda CB twins and scramblers are all the rage, I kick myself for selling it to that kid for $125 so long ago.

Electric Drums
2 electric basses
1 stratocaster
acoustic guitar
bass amp
bass head (GK 2001) in the cabinet
One 'cello (it's for sale)
small guitar amp
upright piano
computer desk
modeling desk with 3 unfinished models
7 recorders. The kind you blow into from soprano to bass in size.

It's double wall soundproofed so acoustic instruments can be played 24-7 even though the she den and little boy den are within spitting distance.

My 'Man Cave' exists only in my mind... the proposed physical space allocated for this non-entity is currently occupied by Curious George, Elmo, who by the way will soon utter his last breath, when he accompanies me to the range... numerous Hot Wheel IWDs... Improvised Walking Deterrents... Mega Bloks... the list goes on...

... and seriously, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Be patient. When my wife and I bought our house, the basement was mine. I had my bass rig, basses on the wall, big TV, couch and recliner, CD/DVD collection, wet bar, etc. Then we had kids, and my stuff was buried under their stuff, like kudzu. The youngest is now 8, and I've been slowly reclaiming my space. Very slowly, but it's happening.

My Aunt has a Le Mans blue 2004 Commemorative 'Vette ZO6 similar to that but with some extra color down the center. Little pinstripe gaps in the paint tease out the carbon fiber hood. A 405 HP beast! I've driven it a couple times.

Here's how I remember the exact specs...
