What's on for your "Clean" sound

Big Chief....Try the Vodoo Labs Sparkle Drive....with the clean boost knob it dials in some very faint but transparent and usable grit...and it's not over the top i think it will fit your bill!

For my so called "Clean Tone" i run Bass into my Sparkle Drive and then into a Sansamp RBI with a tweaked SVT Setting.

Isn't the Sparkle Drive a tubescreamer clone? Never been a fan of the tubescreamers. But I'll check it out.

yea sort of...it is based on the vintage TS808 format, it includes the original JRC4558 opamp, but has been modded with metal resistors and polyester film capacitors which creates a tighter midrange, a crsiper high, and overall IMHO a far better capacity for note definition than the original 808. They have also added a clean boost channel which allows you to blend the clean signal with the overdrive circut. This allows you to boost the direct clean signal which in turn restores the attack and feel which is usually lost in most pedals when the signal is compressed in the ovedrive circut. Sounds much better than the original and is much more tweekable
