What's On Your Workbench?

Neck came in for my 12 string:

What IS the best concrete for metal? I'm assuming that the siding will be a nice tort?

The most important characteristic of Tone Concrete is stability; minimal movement and warpage during seasonal changes; no cracking. And it should have a nice even ring when you put an anvil in the center and smack some hot steel. To match the ring of the steel building.

Looks good. Are you going to add some cool decoration to the headstock?

Thanks, I'm not sure yet, though there is certainly enough room to add something on top. I actually though I might just cut off that hooked part. I'll see how it comes together. I still need to get to West Marine to buy some epoxy resin. The last batch I mixed up never cured. I'm sure it was the hardener, but I don't want to take any chances. I'll start with all new.

I can spend some time making a template because, of course, the heel is just wider than a standard Stratocaster neck, and just narrower than a 4 string bass neck heel, both of which I already have a template for.

To me, that lump on the headstock is asking for some kind of roundish medallion. Or maybe trim it into a nasty hook or spiral.

I had developed a logo a while back.

Though there's another I put on a headstock that looks different, for some reason.

That is a nice logo, both versions. And NexyGlo is a good brand name for your instruments.

Maybe bend that text around into a circular version, Nexy on top and Glo on the bottom? That could be very far out, groovy and '70's looking.
