What's one thing do you think the entire WORLD could do without?

Better question: If God is so perfect, why does he have so much trouble telling people what he wants? Every other person has their own view of what God wants. How hard is it to say something that is not interterpretable?

Indeed, and at that, can we trust the Bible and similar religious texts at all? If man is so "imperfect", then why do so many rely on texts of man made origin? Surely the Gods would deliver texts that were at least verifiable!

^^ Tempted to call a "thread over" on that one, but I'm not quite at your level of misanthropy. Give me a year or two and I'm sure I'll be right beside you.

you've got me all wrong. I don't hate humans.

I just think that the world (i.e. "plant earth") would be *much* better off without humans.... We haven't done all that much good things to the planet. In fact, I can't think of many other things that have been worse for planet earth aside from humans... maybe Global Warming...oh wait, but that's because of... (hahah)

It's been said already, but if I'm allowed to be honest and serious, I'd say: Religion.

I'm not apologising if that view offends anyone either - I'm fully entitled to feel that way and to express it.

The sooner that mankind realises that there really is "just us and the animals" in this world, the sooner we can get on with fighting each other over "real issues", which actually matter.

Who knows, we might even decide that it's not really worth it and just "get on" instead!

Ain't that the truth.

Think about it folks!

God says something to someone.
Someone told someone else who wrote it down.
Someone reprinted it but maybe made it abridged.
Then people translate it into other languages.

By the time you get the text it's hand-me-downed four or FIVE times! What would we call that? Let's see:

Primary
Secondary...
Pentary? ***?!

Or this:

Jesus says something to a crowd.
Many heard different things, so they basically take the average of what he said.
They write it down.
Someone has to translate it.
THEN YOU READ THE TRANSLATION....of what they wrote down from what the majority heard from what the actual source was.

THEN YOU READ THE TRANSLATION....of what they wrote down from what the majority heard from what the actual source was.

Indeed! Allow me to demonstrate.

The lyrics to Prime Mover by Rush.

Basic elemental instinct to survive
Stirs the higher passions
Thrill to be alive

Alternating currents in a tidewater surge
Rational resistance to an unwise urge

Anything can happen...

From the point of conception
To the moment of truth
At the point of surrender
To the burden of proof

From the point of ignition
To the final drive
The point of the journey is not to arrive

Anything can happen...

Basic temperamental filters on our eyes
Alter our perceptions
Lenses polarize

Alternating currents force a show of hands
Rational responses force a change of plans

Anything can happen...

From a point on the compass
To magnetic north
The point of the needle moving back and forth

From the point of entry
Until the candle is burned
The point of departure is not to return

Anything can happen...

I set the wheels in motion
Turn up all the machines
Activate the programs
And run behind the scene

I set the clouds in motion
Turn up light and sound
Activate the window
And watch the world go 'round

From the point of conception
To the moment of truth
At the point of surrender
To the burden of proof

From the point of ignition
To the final drive
The point of a journey
Is not to arrive

through it through a translator once or twice and...

Fundamental fundamental instinct, to the Stirs to survive the more the raised inclinations
Feeling to be to alive

The changing chains in the tidal water river the rational resistance to unklugen urge

Each possible thing can happened…

Of the point of the Auffasung
To the hours of the truth
In the point of the distribution
To the test load

Of the point of the ignition
To the concluding movement
The point of the journey is not to be arrived

Each possible thing can happened…

The fundamental filters, which are in our eyes temp RAM valley, change our conceptions
The objectives polarise

The alternation concatenates Kraft a sample of the hands that the rational answers force a change of the plants

Each possible thing can happened…

Of one point in the compass
To the magnetic north
The point of the needle, which shifted back and forth

Of the entrance
Until the candle burned
The starting point is not to be decreased/gone back

Each possible thing can happened…

I adjusted the wheels in the motion
Turn too above from all machines
For the programs activate
E, which works behind the scene

I adjusted clouds in the motion
Turn too above from the light and from the clay/tone
To the window activate
E to give for from attention to the world over to go 'approximately

Of the point of the Auffasung
To the hours of the truth
In the point of the distribution
To the test load

Of the point of the ignition
To the concluding movement
The point of a journey
It is not to be arrived

Furthermore, I think there is perhaps a higher power out there, but these false Gods, when will they make themselves known? Seems they've been pretty quiet for a long, long time.

:) What a brilliant idea!

My own lyrics are always crap and predictable :hmm: .

Maybe I should run them thru a translator into Thai, German and back to English again :smug: .

Then, they might sound more "interesting". Then again, they could come sounding like "Marillion" :D !
