Whats the best teeny tiny practice type amp?

Years ago i went out to buy a GK MB150 that was when Mark Bass was just being introduced here in the US. I ended up buying a Mini CMD 121P. At that time it was cheaper than the GK now it's @ $200 more new. i still have it and still love it, plenty small and sounds good for bedroom practice, but has all the volume and headroom I need for gigs too. I highly recommend it.

I you really want small & great sounding, get a Phil Jones Double 4...

I keep one on my desk (no need to hide it away). Don't expect massive volume, but it is loud for it's size.

Used to be the peavey microbass was the best up until 5 years ago. I have one and love it. Its still good but there are probably better offerings now.

I love my Line 6 LowDown LD15 (15W 8"). It's just under 40 lbs and sounds amazing, goes louder than you need when solo or with acoustic guitars, etc. I am now looking into the Link Removed cabs though because one of those would let me simply use my micro head for everything, thereby reducing differences in tone between small gigs / practice to larger gigs.

I have two pair and they have the best bass response of any headphones I have ever owned, period. I still have my Koss pro 4AA's that I bought new in the 70's. I 've been a headphone nut for decades. These headphones absolutely blew me away. When they go on sale again I'm getting three more pairs. $18.99 is the typical sale price.

I now use an iRig, smart phone, amplitube and a good set of computer speakers, or headphones. Certainly not the cheapest solution but very versatile.
I'll tell ya what, Do Not buy the Vox AC1RV Rhythm Bass Combo! I don't know how that ever made it past R&D. To get a clean tone the amp is barely audible. To get any useable volume the amp distorts in that nasty solid state way. By useable, I mean sitting alone in a quiet house and hearing your bass, useable.

Check out the MarkBass Micromark - I have one and it has actually powerful enough to use at the right gigs! Even a low B will blow you away and it's 9" x 9" - you can hide it anywhere!
