I recently started playing bass, and I heard more and more about Les Claypool and Primus, so I decide to check them out via YouTube. I actually really like it, its very different. But, looking at the comments, half of them are something like "PRIMUS SUCKS, HELL YEAH!" or "PRIMUS STILL SUCKEN" and I'm just wondering why people hate them so much. Are they jerks? I've just never seen this many people hating on a band.

I think it was Primus themselves who started the whole "Primus Sucks" thing. It became customary for the fans to say it.
However, I might not be 100% right about that.
