Whats up with kids today?

..I remember one teacher; he was so mean, he used to punish himself. One day I showed up late to his class. I think I had an onion tied to my belt. Which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em. Gimme five bees for a quarter, you'd say. Now where was I... oh yeah. The important thing was that I had an onion tied to my belt, which was the style at the time. You couldn't get white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

Didn't you play this card already in another thread? Am I getting dementia or are we getting redundant?

Didn't you ask me this before?

It's a running joke. No matter what story I tell about the good old days, I always end with the Grampa Simpson quote.

I saw that episode when it was broadcast for the very first time, March 11, 1993. My all original band, Careless Abandon, was starting to get something going; I had just gotten together with a beautiful girlfriend after a fairly inconsistent spell of some years; I was hanging out with a couple of philosophical brothers who could talk you to death easily, and The Simpsons was still a great show!

I have considered doing just that! Getting a sidecar for my ego! I love it!

I know the comment wasn't directed at me, but I have decided to own it, anyway. And for the record, I think all teenagers should be knocked around a couple of times, just so they know it can happen.

In my day, we would show up in school, and they would beat us senseless, right before giving us pop quizzes. No wonder our scores were so low! Most of us couldn't get our ears to stop ringing long enough to hear the questions!

See man you did it all wrong, all wrong, no wonder theres a were you cool in school thread.. All the cool kid's wore Beats on there belts man.. Because than you could chew the beat, and tell the teach you were allready roughed up by some scoundrel without morals. They would than of course take pity on you, and not give you the ol' strap for your tardiness.

"The Simpsons"? No wonder this conversation is going downhill so fast, if that's the basis for moral arguments. ( ;) obligatory smiley thingy).

Nah, I'll quite happily keep saying that assaulting a child with a weapon, for being a cheeky turd, is the wrong thing to do ;).
You just can't help yourself. You just *have* to display your arrogant self-righteousness. lol! Wow...

Call that self-righteous coolness all you want, I'd say it's more akin to not being a douche.
You have failed massively in that regard.

Your so full of yourself lol.. How do you fit in a car with your ego? Do you drive a motorcycle with a side car, just for the ego? Does it have a name? Possibly even it's own Twitter feed?

#StratsEgo : Told the world how awesome i am today, they said i wasn't, but i know there wrong!
For me to entertain the thought of taking anything you say seriously, you might want to know how to write better than my nephew who's in Grade 2.

It's "You're so...," "sidecar," "its own," "they're wrong."

The irony of you needing to publish your less than insightful post is probably lost on you but I'll nevertheless spell it out for you ; you felt the need to post your idiocies to feel better about yourself, hence catering to your ego. I posted my reply belittling you because of your unwarranted demeanor towards me.

Have a nice day.

Ah yes, assault: the sign of a true man.

...or a douche.

Really I wouldn't say a douche. But someone who is in need of some help. And he will need to realize he needs the help before he will start seeking it. My best advice for handling this is to not engage in name calling but attempt to reason. We need to show him empathy if we want him to be able to empathize with victims of abuse. Means and ends being the same and what not.
