What's Your Favorite Dessert?

I've got a major sweet tooth and can't get enough of most of the desserts that come my way. I had dinner at Gordon Ramsay's "Steak" restaurant in Vegas. Everything was perfect, but my favorite was Sticky Toffee Pudding with caramel/rum sauce. I found a recipe for it and plan on making it soon. So, mine is warm Sticky Toffee Pudding with Haagen Daaz Vanilla Bean ice cream topped with caramel/rum sauce. Behold:

I just started classes for nutrition, so I'm getting a bit extreme about this. My dessert of choice these days has bee an apple or pear with almond butter. Tastes awesome, and is really good for you too.

Once a year, usually on my birthday I'll have Drakes Coffee Cake with chocolate ice cream. To me, eating like that though has become the equivalent of getting wrecked on drugs :). I feel it the same the next day, too. I don't know how people live with themselves doing that kind of thing on a daily basis. Most I have to guess are just used to it and don't have a clue what they're actually doing to their bodies. It ain't healthy I tell Ya!!!!!

I used to be able to eat deSSerts with impunity. Once I hit 50 I've really felt the effects - sugar crash - run down, lethargic (even more so than usual). That's slowed me down some - good thing I guess as after 50 I started putting on weight as well, something that I was iMMune to as well up to that point. Still love a good dessert, though, as well as white chocolate and macadamia nut cookies and/or ice cream, Lindt chocolates (or the ultimate here in Calgary, Bernard Callebaut), and another fave, Tiramisu. Behold II:

I forgot about Greek pastries. Lots of variations of phyllo dough with honey and pistachios and all kinds of other goodies.

We have very few Mediterranean places here. They all make something better than the others. One called "Lite Bite" would be all but worthless if not for 2 things. They make lots of baklava, some even dipped in chocolate. The other is that they are the only place in town I've seen, including Indian bazaars and Asian markets, that sell whole lamb legs.

Oh, mama - roasted lamb. Surprising how few people like it.
