What's Your Favorite Dessert?

Strawberry golden Oreo milkshake. DQ had it as a blizzard years ago for about one month and it hasn't been back since. Thankfully, homemade version tastes better since you can use better quality ice cream and fresh strawberries. Simple but awesome. The golden Oreos go hand in hand with my affinity for downing a package of the double stuff version, as mentioned in the "go to snack" thread.

They have Dairy Queens in Utah? ***? I thought it was a Texas only place. What's there catch phrase in Utah?

Our is "That's, what, I, Like, a, bout, TEXas"

Roasted lamb is the bomb. In China, there are restaurants where you roast your own over a spit, as the outside portions cook you just slice off pieces, turn the leg and sip your beer. Awesome!

I live in the Sonoran desert, so it's my favorite. There's really quite a selection of landscapes, cacti, and wildlife.

For dessert I am getting a craving for some frozen custard from the midwest, a Ted Drewe's would really hit the spot.

Major sweet tooth here! My favorite dessert is Creme Brulee ... So creamy delicious and crunchy drool And it's pretty easy to make at home if you have a propane torch.

When dining, I prefer to eat my dessert first ... that way you always have room!!! Great thread ... subb'd :hyper:

This^^is a great idea! When we ate at Ramsay's I kinda' (understatement) overdid it, so that by the time the sticky toffee pudding arrived at the end, I was pretty much done and could only eat half of it - definitely a 1st for me! (240lbs. - big enough to eat hay - not for dessert though)

Let me guess, the OP wrote whats your favorite desert as the title.

Anyway, I have a sweet tooth. Yeah, most sugar-based desserts aren't healthy but it is what it is. I love tiramisu as my number one dessert. Second would be chocolate ice with chocolate syrup and brownies.
Well, the next 20 or so would be pastries, ice creams, gelatos, donuts, cakes, and pies.
My number one pastry, if you are curious, is the mille-feuille.

I have one, creme puffs.

I somehow got through 4+ decades without ever having tried one. Not only was I blown away by the flavor and texture(s), I was amazed by the sheer amount of shenanigans it must have taken to make one. Tons of work dispatched in a single bite. I look forward to having more in the future!

When I was in 1st or 2nd grade (or sometime early in elementary school) one of my teachers used this mnemonic for remembering how to spell desert and dessert: "Dessert has more S's ...because everybody wants more dessert!"
I still think of that to this day whenever I'm writing either word.

My favorite dessert is probably a 20-year-old tawny port.

Yeah, we have them but they're not everywhere like I've heard they can be other places. Another difference, at least between Utah and the ones I saw in St Louis, is that the ones here serve hot food too - burgers, chicken, typical fast food fare. Apparently that's not normal everywhere.
